SOAPBOX DERBY

Build a soapbox and grab yourself instant worldwide fame and a modest fortune (a free T Shirt for every soapbox driver) by flinging yourself and your best shed-built effort down the ramp on Sunday afternoon.

Racing side-by-side at crazy and reckless near-walking speeds, and using precision steering geometry that only string, cheap pallet wood and old pram wheels can provide, you’ll thrill the crowd and guarantee respect from your mates/partner/cat.

After a series of heart-stopping, head-to-head knockout races, the totally heroic winner will leave with the cheers of the crowd ringing in their ears and a FREE WRISTBAND AND CAMPING for next year’s Hayride!
